Dustin Johnson 2017 British Open Odds

UPDATE - ***A bogey free round of 64 has brought Dustin Johnson back into contention for the Claret Jug. He still sits 8 shots back of Jordan Spieth, but British Opens are made for big comebacks. Yesterday he was going off at odds of 101.00, but now he's down to odds of 67.00.***

We would really like to say that Dustin Johnson is fulfilling all of the expectations that were placed upon him at the beginning of this season, but that would be woefully untrue. Johnson has still managed to hold on to his number one spot in the official world rankings and he’s managed to claim the top spot in the FedEx Cup rankings, but he hasn’t seen the weekend at a major championship for an entire year. He missed the cut at the 2016 PGA, he withdrew from the Masters, and he missed the cut again at the US Open at Erin Hills. Maybe he’s due for a comeback, but it’s really tough to tell if that’s the case. And mostly because he just hasn’t played that much golf lately. The Memorial and the US Open were the last two tournaments he played and he missed the cut in both of those starts. The good news for Dustin is that he tends to play well at the Open Championship. He’s recorded three top ten finishes at the British Open since his first appearance in 2009 and he even managed a tie for second in the 2011 event. As we said, there’s really not very much recent data on Dustin so bet at your own discretion!
