Redskins vs. Eagles Match Preview & Betting Odds 2018/19

Spread: Eagles by 6.5 Over/Under: 44 Money line: Redskins +220.00; Eagles -285.71

The Washington Redskins enter the game coming off a tough Thanksgiving Day loss to the Dallas Cowboys. It was their first game without starting quarterback Alex Smith and the first start for Colt McCoy in a couple of years.

While the Philadelphia Eagles enter the game coming off a much-needed win over the New York Giants, they too are in bad shape. They have struggled to find any consistency on either side of the ball this season. It took a last-minute field goal in the fourth just to get a win over the woeful Giants.

The Eagles have been hit hard at running back but may have found someone finally in rookie Josh Adams. However, they have been decimated in the secondary to the point where they had to use receivers at defensive back just to practice last week.

Philadelphia was without their top four corners last week, and it remains to be seen who will be available this week.

That could be just the break the Redskins need. Colt McCoy had three interceptions against the Cowboys but otherwise didn’t do half-bad. But against an injury-depleted secondary, he could have a field day.

So—who’s going to win?

The Eagles want to run more but will find it hard against the Redskins. If the Redskins can take away Zach Ertz, the Eagles passing game will be in trouble. All of the injuries will make this a better game than it otherwise would have been. But don’t count on the Eagles coming out on top.

Take Washington to win over Philadelphia, straight up and against the spread.  As for the over/under—take the over.
