The tough times are probably going to get a lot tougher for the Buffalo Bills this week. After getting decimated by Joe Flacco and the Ravens last week, the defense is going to face an even better opponent. Philip Rivers is a much better passer than Flacco and has more talented skill position guys as well.

If the Bills defense couldn’t slow down the Ravens, there is little reason to think they’ll slow down the Chargers.

There best bet will be to keep the Chargers offense off the field. That will require actually generating offense. While the team struggled to do so last week against a tough Ravens defense, they may have a better shot against the Chargers.

Los Angeles did have a tough defense last season. But without Joey Bosa in the lineup, the pass rush was weak. They got to Patrick Mahomes just once, and the Chiefs offensive line is nothing special (much like Buffalo’s).

So—who’s going to win?

The Chargers are going to win this one with ease. Phillip Rivers is going to decimate the Bills defense even more than Joe Flacco did. Even without Bosa, the defense is going to put a lot of pressure on whoever plays QB for the Bills.

Buffalo’s only real weapon, LeSean McCoy, is going to have another forgettable day.

Take the Chargers (-344.83) to win over the Bills (+265.00) and cover the spread (7.5 points). If the Bills score, they will not score much. But it is not impossible to see the Chargers cover the over (43) on their own.
