Rams vs. Bears Match Preview & Betting Odds 2018/19
December 04, 2018
The Rams may have locked down the NFC West last week but have yet to do so for the No. 1 seed in the conference. So, while they may exercise some caution with anyone that has a nagging injury, they are still going to be playing to win this week.
They will need to put their best foot forward to beat a very good Bears team. Chicago’s front seven will not be easy for Todd Gurley to run on. They are going to put plenty of pressure on Jared Goff as well. But the Rams offensive line has done a decent job of protecting Goff this year (26 sacks and 52 QB hits allowed this season).
Chicago’s game is going to depend completely on whether they get Mitchell Trubisky back. Chase Daniel is not a bad reserve QB, but he is not up to the task of beating the Rams defense. The early word on Trubisky is that he is expected to play but is officially considered day-to-day.
Their defense will make life difficult for the Rams. But they will need the offense to sustain drives and give them a break. Trubisky can make it happen.
So—who’s going to win?
The Bears defense will keep this one interesting whether Trubisky plays or not. But in the end, the Bears are outgunned in this one. The Rams have too many weapons on offense, and they do not have enough. Take the Bears to win over the Rams, straight up and against the spread.
As for the over/under—take the under (52.5).
