Aspen Ladd vs Germaine de Randamie Prediction & Betting Odds - UFC Fight Night 155 Preview
July 11, 2019
Aspen Ladd (8-0-0) vs Germaine de Randamie (8-3-0) is an important match-up in the women’s Bantamweight division, as decorated kickboxer de Randamie takes on an unbeaten fighter in Aspen Ladd, in the main event at UFC Fight Night 155 in Sacramento, California this Saturday (July 13).
Germaine de Randamie is a former UFC Champion at featherweight, but Holly Holm was unlucky not to win that fight and de Randamie was stripped of her title for refusing to defend the belt against Cris Cyborg. She returned to 135lb in November and beat Raquel Pennington by a split decision, but she missed weight by 3lb. Aspen Ladd has also had her problems in cutting down to 135lb, but she has really worked hard on her diet and nutrition to put things right.
The American native Aspen Ladd is certainly becoming more dangerous in the striking department. She is powerful, with knockout power in her hands, but she is seen to best effect when dominating on the ground.
Her game plan is this bout may be to get in close with de Randamie and turn this into a dog fight by getting her down to the canvas and seek to dominate the fight from there.
Recommended Odds: 11th July 2019
Aspen Ladd vs Germaine de Randamie Betting Lines & Pick
Germaine de Randamie is the +140 (2.40) underdog at bet365, which will appeal to many looking punters at the UFC betting lines, especially considering the Dutchwoman’s’ kickboxing pedigree and her previous wins over Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington.
However, there is something just a little bit special about the unbeaten Aspen Ladd. She is the -164 (1.61) betting favourite at 888sport and although her more experienced European opponent clearly has a more defined resume, Ladd may just be a rising force in the UFC Bantamweight division. She too has beaten some well-established fighters, including Lina Lansberg, Tonya Evinger and Sijara Eubanks.
Aspen Ladd was due to fight Holly Holm before she was drafted in to take on Amanda Nunes, so this is Ladd’s big opportunity to make a title challenging statement. She is also headlining the card in her home country and has a will to win like few up and coming fighters in the division. Ladd for the win!
UFC Betting Pick: Aspen Ladd to beat de Randamie at -164 (1.61) with bet365
