Bianca Andreescu Vs Belinda Bencic Prediction & Betting Odds - US Open Tips
September 05, 2019
Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic takes on Canada’s Bianca Andreescu in the semi-final of the 2019 US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York on Thursday evening.
It will be the first time either of these players has reached this latter stage of a Grand Slam event, with the winner going on to face either Serena Williams or Elina Svitolina in the final on Saturday. (September 7)
Belinda Bencic beat her close friend and hitting partner, Croatia’s Donna Vekic in straight sets, 7-6 (7-5) 6-3, in her quarter final match.
For her part, Bianca Andreescu became the first teenager to reach this stage of the US Open since Caroline Wozniacki did the same ten years ago. She did so by coming from behind to win 3-6 6-2 6-3 against Belgium’s Elise Mertens in the quarterfinals.
Betting Odds -Winner
19 year-old Andreescu has already had a stellar season, having won the prestigious Indian Wells tennis event, followed by the Rogers Cup on her home soil. She certainly shouldn’t freeze on the occasion.
