From 8PM (Local time)

This fight is a rematch following their previous bout in March 2018, in which Ortiz had Wilder in serious trouble before being stopped in the 10th round. Ortiz had recovered from a 5th round knockdown to catch Wilder with a left hand in the 7th round that would have led to him winning the fight had the champion not been saved by the bell.

Wilder then regained his composure to put Ortiz on the canvass another couple of times before going on to win.

Deontay Wilder

The 34 year-old Alabama native has an incredible record of 40 KOs in his 42 fight career, and will be making the tenth defense of his title. His last fight was back in May of this year (2019), when he finished off Dominic Breazeale in the first round.

Luis Ortiz

With 26 KOs in his 31 career wins, the 40-year old Cuban southpaw isn’t short of punching power himself. He’s had three wins since losing to Wilder, with the latest coming via Unanimous Decision against Christian Hammer in March.

Wilder vs Ortiz Betting Lines & Prediction

As for our Wilder vs Ortiz predictions for this rematch fight, there’s little to suggest it will go the distance in either man’s history. Deontay Wilder is the younger fighter and has the advantage in terms of punching, height and reach.

Luis Ortiz has reportedly trained hard and is looking in the best shape of his professional career. He can hurt Wilder again, but there are too many factors in the American’s favour.
