Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Calgary Stampeders Prediction & Betting Odds - CFL Picks
July 11, 2019
This will be seen as an opportunity for the Ticats to break a 15 game (14 regular season games and a Grey Cup) losing streak against the Stampeders that dates back almost eight years. The Ticats last win in this matchup came way back on September 25, 2011 and none of the current Ticats were on that team. It is perhaps worth noting though that eight of those 15 losses, including the Grey Cup, were by six or fewer points.
There is reason for optimism though, in that the Ticats have made a strong start to the season and, along with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Stampeders, they are seen as one of the leading contenders for the Grey Cup this season. The other major factor is that Bo Levi Mitchell (the Stampeders’ quarterback who played in 12 of those wins for Calgary) has been placed on a six-game injury with a pectoral muscle issue.
For the Stampeders, Mitchell has completed 63% of his passes for 527 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Mitchell and Nick Arbuckle have combined for 882 passing yards and six touchdowns, while Markeith Ambles and Reggie Begelton have combined for 359 receiving yards and one touchdown. Eric Rogers has made a total of 16 receptions to date.
