Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers Prediction & Betting Odds - CFL Picks
July 25, 2019
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in CFL action at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton on Friday evening. (July 26)
Both these CFL teams have started the season in strong form, with the Tiger-Cats currently holding a 4-1 record and the Blue Bombers the only remaining 100 percent team in the CFL with their impressive 5-0 record. Even at this early stage in the season, this game looks potentially as if it could be a preview of the Grey Cup.
Hamilton had a bye week in week six, with their last action being a 30-23 win in week five against the Calgary Stampeders. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has completed 70.8 percent of his passes for 1,517 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions. Masoli has at least one TD pass in 17 of his last 19 games. Brandon Banks and Bralon Addison have combined for a total of 799 receiving yards and six touchdowns, while Jaelon Acklin has made 16 receptions.
Winnipeg had a comprehensive 31-1 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks in week six. Matt Nichols has completed 73.2 percent of his passes for 1,150 yards, 12 touchdowns and one interception. Nichols has two or more TD passes in six of his last 10 games. Lucky Whitehead and Darvin Adams have combined for a total of 492 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Nic Demski has made 11 receptions to date.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers Betting Lines & Picks
Two in-form teams don’t make for easy CFL betting picks going into this game. Hamilton should benefit from having had an extra week to prepare and they will also have the backing of a packed house. Even so, Winnipeg look to have the strongest roster in the CFL this season and look like definite Grey Cup prospects even at this early stage.
