Michigan State Spartans vs Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting Lines & Prediction
April 03, 2019
The Michigan State Spartans meet the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Final Four of the 2019 NCAA tournament takes place at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday night.
Of the remaining teams in the NCAA 2019 tournament, the Spartans are the only one to have previously won a national championship (back in 1979 and 2000). They will believe that a third title is well within their capabilities after they eliminated the top-seeded Duke Blue Devils 68-67 in the East Region final at the Elite Eight stage of the tournament.
Although hampered by injuries to key players this season, Point Guard Cassius Winston has led the way for the Spartans and was crucial against Duke.
For the first time in their 94-year history, the Texas Tech Red Raiders will be making an appearance in the NCAA tournament’s final weekend at the 2019 Final Four, and from here they will attempt to become the first team to win a national title in its initial Final Four appearance since UConn did it 20 years ago.
The Raiders overcame the Gonzaga Bulldogs 75-69 in the Elite Eight to reach the Final Four. Once again, the Raiders’ defense was pivotal to their success against the Bulldogs, with Texas Tech holding the opposition to 42% shooting, which was some 10 points below their average.
