MLS 2019: Orlando City vs Toronto FC Prediction & Betting Odds
May 02, 2019
Orlando City meet Toronto FC on Saturday afternoon at the Orlando City Stadium in MLS action.
Orlando City were on the road at New York City FC last week, where they claimed a 1-1 draw after their veteran marquee signing Nani gave them an early lead. It was the Portuguese star’s fifth goal of the season and the fourth consecutive game in which he scored for Orlando.
It was a hard-earned point for Orlando, who only managed three shots in the entire game and NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson was not credited with a single save. At the other end, Orlando goalkeeper Brian Rowe made four saves in a game in which the Lions allowed 15 shots (five on target) and NYCFC controlled possession for 65.6 percent of the match.
Toronto FC come into this game having lost 2-1 on their home-turf to the Portland Timbers last weekend. It was a particularly disappointing MLS result as they surrendered an early lead, given to them by Jonathan Osorio.
It was only the Reds second loss of the season (although it was also a second defeat in their last three games) and their first on home turf. A mitigating factor was that star striker Jozy Altidore was ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury.
