Raptors vs. Lakers Match Preview and Betting Odds 2018/19
March 13, 2019
Toronto is coming off a tough loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers; tough in the sense that it was hard watching such a good team play so poorly. There was literally nothing that the Raptors did well, and no one had a good game. Serge Ibaka even managed to get himself suspended for the next three games after getting in a fight.
While his absence will hurt, the Raptors are still playing a severely depleted Lakers team. Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball are done for the season. Tyson Chandler is expected to be out, and Lance Stephenson is considered day-to-day.
So, the Raptors will essentially have to face LeBron James (who is on a minutes restriction) and a Kyle Kuzma that isn’t exactly 100 percent either.

Should be an easy one to call, right? So—who’s going to win?
Lebron James and Kyle Kuzma showed Tuesday night against Chicago what they are capable of together; James had 36 and Kuzma 21 in a 123-101 win. But they were facing another team that is not only pretty bad this year but without talents comparable to what the Lakers have.
Despite what James, Kuzma, and the rest of the Lakers can do when they try hard, Toronto is the better team. But will they sleep-walk through this one as they did in Monday’s loss to the Cavs?
We can’t know that until the game starts, but you have to think they would have enough pride not to drop another game to an inferior team.
Take Toronto to win over the Lakers but for the Lakers to win against the spread (if it is more than ten). Toronto will want to win, but don’t expect them to do more than they must. As for the over/under—take the under.
