Raptors vs. Pacers Match Preview and Betting Odds 2018/19

Indiana (31-15) has had a lot of trouble playing in Toronto (no wins since 2013), but they seem to be okay against the Raptors (36-13) at home. With Kawhi Leonard expected to sit out again, (fourth game in a row; for ‘rest’), will certainly help the Pacers.

But the Pacers have struggled against good teams this month (three losses; Boston, Toronto, and Philadelphia). Even without Leonard, the Raptors have a very good team. But Toronto will be playing the second half of a back-to-back on the road.

However, while that would be a bad sign for most teams, Toronto has gone 8-1 in the second game of back-to-backs this season.

In the month of January, the Pacers have had some issues on defence. On the season, they have the second-best defence in the NBA. But since January, they have been 17th in defence. To take down the Raptors, Leonard or not, it would help if they could regain some of their early-season defensive prowess.

Recommended Odds

Spread: Pacers by 2.5

The Pacers are healthy, well rested, and playing at home. Toronto will be playing the second game of a back-to-back on the road. Don’t expect Indiana to have any trouble covering the spread.

Over/Under:

If the previous two games this season are any indication, this game will cover the over just as they did.

Money line: Raptors +120; Pacers -140

Even without Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors are playing well enough to beat anyone right now. But this night is going to belong to Indiana. Take the Pacers to win
