Switzerland U20 vs Russia U20 Predictions & Betting Odds - IIHF 2020 Tips
January 01, 2020
Switzerland finished second behind Sweden in Group A after beating the defending champions Finland 5-2 in their final game on New Year’s Eve.
It was a particularly impressive performance as they were missing key players in the injured duo of defenceman Nico Gross (upper body injury) and forward Joel Salzgeber (lower-body injury), while first-choice goaltender Luca Hollenstein was rested. All three players should return to face Russia.
There were two goals from Fabian Berri against Finland, with Gaetan Jobin, Simon Knak, and Valentin Nussbaumer also getting a goal apiece for Switzerland. David Aebischer and Sandro Schmid each provided two assists, while Stephane Charlin made 36 stops.
