Tony Ferguson vs Donald Cerrone Prediction & Betting Odds - UFC 238 Betting Preview
June 06, 2019
This is potentially a very dangerous ‘banana skin’ fight for Tony Ferguson, who must believe that he warrants a title shot. Defeat to Donald Cerrone here could scupper those plans. Cerrone only took this fight on at short notice, although being someone who loves to fight, he didn’t need much persuading!
Ferguson, the former UFC interim lightweight champion, is currently on an 11-fight winning streak, with his last victory coming against Anthony Pettis with a corner stoppage (broken right hand) at the end of Round 2 back in October 2018.
Ferguson’s lack of action lately is in part down to having been hit with a restraining order by his wife, Cristina, a couple of months back, in which she claimed her husband had been “acting violent, paranoid and delusional for the past several months.” He has been receiving support for the issue in recent months though.
El Cucuy’s last loss was to Michael Johnson by unanimous decision way back in May 2012.
After having had a few poor UFC results in which he lost four of five fights, Donald Cerrone is currently on a three-fight winning streak, with his last win coming by unanimous decision over Al Iaquinta a month ago.
