Tyson Fury vs Tom Schwarz Prediction & Betting Odds - Boxing Preview
June 13, 2019
With this fight coming just a couple of weeks after Anthony Joshua’s shock world title defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr., Fury has little to gain from facing the undefeated, but unfancied and largely unknown German, but everything to lose.
As with Joshua, 30 year-old Fury’s reputation and negotiating abilities going forward are at risk here, particularly with plans of a 2020 rematch with Deontay Wilder on the cards.
Tyson Fury is still undefeated, with 19 KOs in his 28 fights to date and, looking in good shape going into the fight, he will be expected to take care of Tom Schwarz with relative ease.
Although Schwarz has won all of his 24 fights to date (including 16 by KO), the 25 year-old German is currently ranked No. 56 in the world by BoxRec and has never fought anyone remotely close to Fury’s level previously.
Schwarz is 6ft 5in, which puts him at about four inches shorter than Fury. There appear to be no official figures as to the German’s reach, but it’s a fairly safe bet that it’s less than Fury’s 85”.
Tyson Fury vs Tom Schwarz Betting Lines & Picks
It’s difficult to envisage anything other than a Tyson Fury win in this fight when it comes to our boxing predictions, although betting odds of -2500 with bet365 on the Briton winning are very prohibitive. With Fury out to make an impression in Las Vegas and to stake his claim as the world’s top heavyweight following Joshua’s shock defeat, a better value boxing bet could be to back him to win in Rounds 1-3 in the ‘Round Group Betting’ markets at +700 with bet365.
