Vegas Golden Knights vs Winnipeg Jets Betting Odds & Prediction
February 21, 2019
The Golden Knights have struggled of late, with their current form consisting of four losses in five-game prior to a difficult looking game on home-ice against the in-form Boston Bruins on the Wednesday evening before this game. Their last game previous to that was a 3-0 defeat on the road at the Colorado Avalanche on Monday evening.
The Golden Knights are currently averaging 2.92 Goals per Game, leaving them 18th in the overall NHL standings. They are allowing 2.80 Goals per Game (8th overall) at present. On an individual basis, Jonathan Marchessault has scored 19 goals, while Alex Tuch has registered 26 assists.
The Jets were on the road away at the Avalanche on Wednesday evening, having gone down to a desperately disappointing 4-3 OT loss on home-ice against the struggling Ottawa Senators on Saturday evening before that. In so doing, they recorded their fifth loss in their last seven games.
The Jets are currently averaging 3.39 Goals per Game (6th overall) and are allowing 2.88 Goals per Game (10th overall). Mark Scheifele has scored 30 goals for the Jets, while Blake Wheeler has contributed 56 assists for the Jets.
Neither of these teams comes into this game in the best of shape in terms of current form, which doesn’t make NHL game predictions any easier.
Last season, the Golden Knights were formidable on home-ice and although they’ve struggled to replicate that of late, having home-ice advantage makes the Golden Knights the tips on the Money Line odds here.
