Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames Betting Odds & Prediction
March 14, 2019
The Winnipeg Jets (40-25-4) meet the Calgary Flames (43-20-7) on Saturday evening at Bell MTS Place.
The Jets had a game on home-ice against the Boston Bruins on Thursday evening, with their last result prior to that being a 5-4 loss on home-ice against the San Jose Sharks in a game that see-sawed throughout.
The Jets are averaging 3.40 Goals per Game to leave them 6th in the overall NHL standings, while defensively they are allowing 2.96 Goals per Game (14th overall). On an individual basis, Mark Scheifele has scored 32 goals for the Jets this season, while Blake Wheeler has provided 64 assists.
The Flames were in action on home-ice against the New York Rangers on Friday evening, with their last game prior to that also being on home-ice against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday evening. That ended in a resounding 9-4 win, although they were 4-3 down going into the 3rd Period when a goal blitz turned the game in their favour.

The Flames are averaging 3.49 Goals per Game at present (4th overall), while they are allowing 2.83 Goals per Game (10th overall). Johnny Gaudreau remains the primary source of goals and assists in the Flames’ roster, with 30 and 54 respectively.
This is not an easy game for predictions between two teams with Stanley Cup ambitions, but although home-ice advantage could give the Jets the edge, it’s the Flames who have rediscovered their form of late and they are therefore the tips on the Money Line odds to take the points.
